Honda’s CBR1000RR has long been a favorite around the MO offices, especially since the 2008 version tested here. Nearly as light as a 600 but with liter-class-leading midrange power, the big double-R vaulted to the top of its class.
The biggest news from Honda for 2012 is its revamped CBR1000RR. Significant suspension upgrades are the headlining features.

Top 2013 Honda Sabre Review

After filtering to the front of traffic, I come to a stop and wait for the light to turn green. I flick the shifter into neutral and rest my hands patiently in my lap. Meanwhile, a lady crosses the road. Her age was difficult to decipher but she could have easily been old enough to be my mother. Maybe even my grandmother. As she crossed, the bright blue menacing figure of my Honda Sabre caught her eye. She paused as she approached, looked me up and down and said, “Nice bike.” I nodded and she continued on her way. “You really do meet the nicest people on a Honda,” I thought.

Why do I bring this up? Because if Honda’s intention with the pro-street-styled Sabre was to intimidate, then it would seem as if it missed the mark. However, there’s no denying that the Sabre — now with a color-matched frame for 2011 —

Unveiled at the eleventh round of WorldSBK Championship in Imola, in Italy, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, France, the bike shows a more aggressive appearance thanks to the new front fairing and headlight headlights and grille.

The heart of the new Fireblade is the in-line 4-cylinder 999.8 cc that develops 178 hp and maximum torque of 112 Nm at 8,000 rpm / min. New suspension that led to large benefits in terms of handling, traction and braking, it also facilitated by the C-Abs, the first anti-lock designed specifically for sport bikes. It is powered by 999.8cc in-line-4-cylinder engine that generates 163 bhp. It is one of the great engines as its power can be used through the rev-range. The suspension is plush and soaks up on road nicely by giving lots of support and control over the circuit. The response to brakes is very quick as it uses ABS system.

Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler Deluxe

Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler Deluxe
Honda Motorcycle had introduced a sportier version of its long standing CB Unicorn to spice things up a bit in the 150 cc biking segment in India. However, the bike didn’t make much fire and noise as expected and Honda felt something should be done about it. Thus, they came up with the Deluxe variant of the bike
in which you get a new 2 tone paint job. The Deluxe variant of the Dazzler costs Rs. 1000 more than the standard Dazzler. Thus the price of the Deluxe CB Dazzler stands at Rs. 66,198 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler Deluxe
The new 2 tone paint job available is the Pearl Sunbeam White with Red and Black with Grey. Going just by the looks, the new dual tone paint job makes the bike look sporty and refreshing. But sadly, apart from the paint job, everything else remains unchanged. The bike retains the 149.1 cc, SOHC 2 valve engine that produces 14 BHP of peak power and 13.1 Nm of peak torque. The kerb weight of the bike remains unchanged at 137 kg. The 149.1 cc engine that powers the CB Unicorn too is a very good and reliable engine and is much appreciated for its butter smoothness. The bike features a telescopic front suspension and a mono-shock suspension at the rear making it very good when it comes to handling. The ride quality of the bike is also quite good. However, it lacks in many parameters when compared to the FZ-S. But the Dazzler gains points to the FZ-S when we talk about the reliability, mileage and the pillion rider comfort. You can find more about the bike in our test ride report here.
