Aston Martin DBS Carbon Edition

Aston Martin DBS Carbon Edition

When a vehicle is launched into the public through an intense car chase scene featuring no less than Agent 007 himself, James Bond, then it is almost a certainty that the vehicle will be racking up huge amounts of sales. This is exactly the case for the DBS line of cars by the car company Aston Martin, as they were first seen by the public in Casino Royale.

And since that famous chase scene that allowed the public to glimpse into the groundbreaking new line of cars by Aston Martin, the company has never looked back, releasing several other models, the latest of which is the 2012 Aston Martin DBS Carbon Edition that is expected to follow on the heels of the high sales of previous models.
But more than being a mere addition to an already established line of cars, the Aston Martin DBS Carbon Edition also has unique features of its own, the best of which is its unique exterior and interior design that is unprecedented. The silk-like finish of the vehicle was achieved through a painstaking process that involved seven layers of paint and 25 hours of polishing and finishing by hand, thus ensuring that the vehicle had undergone meticulous attention to detail.
Exterior & Interior
The wheels of the vehicle also exude luxury and grandeur, as they feature black diamond turned wheels. Other noticeable features of the DBS Carbon Edition include an imposing black grill, carbon-fiber mirror heads, smoked rear lights, and carbon rear lamp fill-ins that ensure that the prospective driver of the vehicle will still be able to see down dark paths and during intense weather conditions.

Aston Martin DBS Carbon Edition

And finally, the regal air that is exuded by the vehicle's exterior is, of course, sustained by its interior, as it is made from the finest materials that are guaranteed to provide comfort to its drivers and passengers.
The 2012 Aston Martin DBS Carbon Edition is certainly more than a mere addition to the well-loved line of Aston Martins.

Aston Martin V12 Zagato

Aston Martin V12 Zagato

The Aston Martin V12 Zagato was released in May 21, 2011 during the Villa D’Este Concours. It was made in collaboration with Italian car designer Zagato as celebration of their 50 years of partnership. During the last 50 years, Aston Martin’s partnership with Zagato has given birth to some of their best cars, which includes the DB7 Zagato, the V8 Vantage Zagato, and the legendary DB4GT Zagato, a car that is celebrating its 50th anniversary as well.

Planning for the production of the V12 Zagato started in 2010, integrating both Aston Martin’s and Zagato’s design principles within the car. Like the DB4GT Zagato that it is paying tribute to, the design of this car exudes both grace and power. While Zagato’s influence can still be seen in this car, a good chunk of the work on this car was performed by Aston Martin, a moving symbolism of Aston Martin’s progress in design over the years.

Aston Martin V12 Zagato

While the Aston Martin V12 Zagato unveiled during the Villa D’Este Concours is only a prototype, a production model of this car produced in limited numbers could be a possibility in the future. In fact, this car is scheduled to compete in the 2011 edition of the Nürburgring 24 Hour race.

Ugur Sahin Aston Martin Gauntlet Concept

Ugur Sahin Aston Martin Gauntlet Concept

By definition, the word “gauntlet” refers to the convergence of two parallel tracks in a narrow place. The Aston Martin Gauntlet takes this definition to a whole new level. Car designer Ugur Sahin has succeeded in overlapping and complementing the past and the future with the classic silhouette that the brand is known for and a futuristic design. In a nutshell, it is like the offspring of the One-77 and DB AR1 then giving it an extreme, total makeover.

A gauntlet is also an armored glove. The Aston Martin Gauntlet would make you feel as if you were wearing a complete set of armor, ready for battle. The overall design of the car is truly intimidating.

Ugur Sahin Aston Martin Gauntlet Concept

Some might call the Aston Martin Gauntlet aggressive or sinister, or even seductive. The way the headlights are designed gives you the impression that the car is luring you in for the ride of your life. The wide front grille roars power, contributing to the aggressive feel.
Since this is a concept car, there is no available information on specifications yet. But some features worth taking note of include the organic headlights, the high front and rear fenders, and double exhausts with a honeycomb part above the diffuser.

Aston Martin One-77

Aston Martin One-77

The rare Aston Martin One-77 made its first appearance at the lovely Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in North America. This supercar is also constructed to have a stunning exterior design and to deliver a powerful performance just like any other Aston Martin cars. This Aston Martin model is made with a combination of the advanced technology to capture the eyes of the prospective buyers. The production of Aston Martin One-77 is only limited because it is expected that few can afford this expensive car. If you want to have this spectacular car, you must prepare £1,200,000 ($1.7 million).

Performance
You will find a 7.3 liter V12 engine under the hood of an Aston Martin One-77. This huge motor powers the car and gives an output power of 750hp and generate a maximum torque of 533 lb ft. The top speed that this car can reach is 220mph and can accelerate from rest to a speed of 60mph in 3.5 seconds. The transmission used in this supercar is the same to that of the strong transmission of DB9.
Exterior & Interior
The chassis of the car is a monocoque carbon fiber and the body is handcrafted aluminum. The body still carries the distinctive fashion of any Aston vehicle since it has the unique grille but with an additional elegance. The designer of this Aston car is Gaydon HQ and the monocoque is fabricated with the assistance of Multimatic (MTC). MTC is known to be the leader in making carbon composite technology, forceful simulation, and gives a vehicle analysis that is more advanced; thus, MTC has the unrivalled capability to thrust One-77 to the top.
The interior of the car is decorated with lavished amenity that anyone would want to have in the car. The subwoofer and woofer boxes of the special sound system are integrated into the carbon fiber body structure of the car. The solid blocks of aluminum of the sound system is able to deliver a power of 1000 watts and 750 watts of undistorted sound. The amplification of the woofer power is produced by the proprietary ICE power technology of Bang & Olufsen.

Aston Martin One-77

Brakes
The One-77 uses a sophisticated brake technology – the Carbon Ceramic Matrix. The calipers are re-fabricated so that the brake pads will give-off minimal heat to the brake fluid. The disc is enhanced so that there is great contact between the brake pads and the face of the disc. This maximum contact will ensure the power of the car in stopping.
Cost & Limitation
It has been reported that the One-77 will be sold at £1.2 Million Euros or approximately US $1,700,000. The production of this car will be limited to 77.
The Competition
Since Aston Martin One-77 has a high price, few cars can only be compared to it. One is Bugatti Veyron. Surely, Veyron is more powerful and packed with more advanced technology but in terms of luxury, One-77 is much better than Veyron. When compared to a C9 Pagani, One-77 is still ahead when it comes to luxury.
In the luxurious world of supercars, Aston Martin is the number one producer of sophisticated and elegant cars. One-77 has a classy style combined with the subtle touch of modernism.

Aston Martin Vantage GT2 Pictures & Review

Aston Martin Vantage GT2 Pictures & Review

With 2008 already having many great releases from many of the premier car manufactures, Aston Martin needed a car that would look and perform better then all. They have launched there GT2 contender for 2008 which is also known as the Vantage GT2.

With the production of this new car, it will make Aston Martin the one and only car manufacture to build cars in each of the GT racing categories which is unheard of and hasn’t been seen in awhile. Typically, different companies specialize in certain categories, but for Aston Martin, they seem to propel in every racing area they enter and there doesn’t seem anyone coming close to them. Another first for the Aston Martin Vantage GT2 is the option of not only using race fuel but also using bio-ethanol fuel which is a lot safer and better for our environment.

Aston Martin Vantage GT2 Pictures & Review

The Aston Martin product portfolio is completed for 2008 now, since they will have a car in each racing category and they feel they’ve done a great job this year as a team. One of the only things released about the car was the fact it could use bio-ethanol fuel which is something Aston Martin was really pulling for in there 2008 series as it lacked it in the 2007 series.

Aston Martin Vantage GT2 Pictures & Review

They did a good job of keeping the specs on this car completely safeguarded and there isn’t much out on this car except for some images of it. It basically looks like a video game type of car that is all supped up. It actually resembles a racing car and from what I’ve heard it should have some great power behind it.
